Journal #7

Superstitions are crazy things to follow in my opinion. They are a bit ridiculous to think about because to me, they just do not make sense. Personally, I follow many superstitions even though I believe they are not very real. One large superstition I follow is that i wear my underwear backwards all the time, no matter what. I believe that by doing this, i can summon the God of Luck who protects me from bad guys throughout the day. Without this superstition, I feel as though I might be ultimately destroyed. Without superstitions, i just do not know how I would make it through my every day routine. Another superstition I like to follow is the fact that I carry around real rabbit's foot in my pocket everywhere I go. Yes, it is a genuine foot from a rabbit. One day, I ran this rabbit over with my car then I instantly won the lottery, so I figured it was a sign from the Heavens. Some people say that keeping a real life rabbit's foot is a little gross or against good morals. But what I say to these critics is that it has gotten me through some tough times in which only luck can get me through. For instance, when I was a sniper back in Vietnam, one of my missions was to take out another Cong sniper. First of all, I was skeptical because the Cong are tricky little rascals. Anyway, I'm in some thick jungle stalking a well known general. So I sight him in, and I take all the measurements down. Then, out of nowhere, a giant rainstorm hits. I have been on this mission four three days so I must complete it. I then kissed my lucky rabbit's foot. Of course I hit my target of the general. I win thanks to my good luck superstition.

  1. Luke, your blogs are awful. The only good things on your blog are the two Office quote boxes.

Just kidding. Your blogs are somewhat humorous and well written. I enjoy reading them and your grammar and everything was good.
