With wonder and desire as big as the mountain,
I set forth into this mystery they call the wild
which indeed 'tis a challenge for most, a fountain
of youth for some, or a trap for a child
like me. Courage and knowledge drive me to try
and succeed, but here the happiness and success
are things that this jungle may not supply.
Still this ancient world turns nevertheless,
and I must trust my bestowed ability
to work and push through all this hostility
to become the man I am supposed to be,
but for now, I simply wait and see.
